But I tell you, above all, to visit the two fabulous pre-Romanesque jewels in Asturias on Mount Naranco.
On a walk through the historic center of the city of Oviedo, you should have as a reference the charming Plaza de Fontán and the fabulous Plaza de Alfonso II el Casto, the Gothic cathedral.
In this cathedral is the 9th-century pre-Romanesque corner known as the Holy Chamber, in which several historical jewels and the relic of the Holy Shroud are kept.
This corner has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as a stage on the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain.
In the city of Oviedo, you should also see the historic Foncalada Fountain or the Campoamor Theater building from the end of the 19th century, the city's cultural heart.
And you can't leave the city without having a cider at one of the bars on the famous Calle Gascony.
